The new high-speed railway lines in France are set to be equipped with La Farga's exclusive technology
LA FARGA has signed a catenary system supply contract with Cegelec Mobility, who is piloting the Catenary batch and sharing research, supply and electrification work duties for the LGV SEA (South Europe Atlantic High-Speed Railway Line Project) with Ineo SCLEE Ferroviare, TSO Caténaries and ETF.
The 'LGV SEA' is a new, high-speed, double-track railway line which comprises approximately a 300km stretch linking Tours and Bordeaux and which will benefit from metallurgical holding La Farga's unique rail technology. Over the period spanning 2014 and 2015, La Farga will produce copper and copper alloy wire to power these new lines, with a total amount of 20 million of euros.
The signing took place at La Farga in the presence of the following parties: on the Cegelec side, Mr. Philippe Peter, Managing Director of Cegelec Mobility, Mr. Eric Willart, Head of the Catenary Batch within SGS SEA, and Mr. Michel Carbonell, Head of procurement and logistics of SEA SGS Catenary; on the Farga side, Mr. Miquel Garcia, General Manager of La Farga Lacambra SAU, Ms. Meri Rovira, Sales Director, and Mr. Josep Anfruns, Product Manager of the railway division.
Philippe Peter stated "We are delighted to be establishing this partnership with a global player in the railway industry as La Farga in the context of this wonderful project. We look forward to its entry into service in 2017!"
