IDI-20150825 “New efficient technological process for the annealing of copper wire ”
The main objective of the present project is the development of a new technological process alternative to the current annealing treatment applied to wire rod CuFRHC (Fire Refined High Conductivity) obtained from recycled copper to provide a higher electrical conductivity and also a better annealing to the resultant wire rod, with the similar properties of CuTEP (Electrolytic Tough Pitch) coming from mineral.
The preceding technological process suffers from high energy consumption susceptible to be improved.
The new process is characterized by a high productivity as well as an improvement of the properties of the final product being recycled copper very similar to the copper coming from mineral.
